Our one-stop gritting service provides peace of mind:
- Each day we receive a detailed weather forecast for the forthcoming 24 hours for your area. Our forecast is provided by WeatherQuest, the weather forecasting and analysis specialists, whose customers include some of the UK's largest companies and institutions.
- If a reasonable risk of frost or ice is forecast, Ice Watch will arrange car park gritting, footpath gritting and snow clearance as required, either in the evening or early morning, as dictated by the forecast using quality materials to BS83247. Ice Watch is working towards ISO9001:2000.
- We will maintain an archive of local weather records, which will help to protect you against false and malicious claims.
- We have access to a range of gritting equipment including small had operated spreaders so we can protect walkways and footpaths just a fficiently and effectively as larger car parks and other vehicle areas.
Gritting
Ice Watch gritting contractors nationwide use specialist equipment, calibrated
to achieve accurate application rates as recommended by the Code of Good Practice
Winter Maintenance, which reduces waste and avoids the over use of salt. This
can be damaging to your surfaces and harmful to the environment, particularly
when it enters the water course. To eliminate risk of surface discolouration,
white salt is used on footpaths and paved areas.
Bin Service
For those who wish to look after their own car parking and paved areas, Ice
Watch can supply gritting bins and also offer a top up service. After an initial
fill, we automatically top up your bin following every sixth frost.
